May Social Dinner with Stelari Yoga and the Power of Belief

Last week, 17 women gathered outside The Roosevelt Growhouse, an urban garden community in downtown Phoenix for a romantic and rustic dinner setting under the big night sky. We were surrounded by the smell of herbs, flowers, vegetables and sweetly scented candles by Burn Candles for an intimate evening of conversation and connection.

As guests arrived, they were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine from Central Wine, a local wine bar in Phoenix next to the Clever Koi, who also provided a robust red and white wine to pair with our dinner. Guests connected and met each other (often for the first time) before being seated.

Once we all sat down and introduced ourselves, our guest speaker, Kim Roach, Founder and Fashion Designer of yoga wear, Stelari opened the night up with a beautiful story on the power of belief and how we can massively increase our own personal power. “You are the vibrational writer of the script of your life – and everyone else in the Universe is playing the part that you have assigned to them. You can literally script any life that you desire and the Universe will deliver to you the essence of the people, places, and events just as you’d decide them to be. For you are the creator of your experience – you have only to decide and allow it to be.” Beautiful. Poetic and thought-provoking to be reminded that we are the captain and master of our ship.

As we shared and discussed our own limiting beliefs and the practices Kim shared for greater self-knowledge, self-acceptance, and compassion to organize our conscious mind, we enjoyed a three-course meal prepared by Chef and Nutritionist, Amber Barcellos from Nutrition Intuition, which included a roasted beet walnut goat cheese and watercress salad with either a fish or poultry entrée paired with herbed risotto and roasted cauliflower. Dessert was a delicious lemon tart baked on a gluten-free crust and topped with raspberries provided by Picket Fence Pastries, and paired with a lovely blend of Chai tea from Clari-Tea House who was also very kind to donate tea samples as gifts for our guests.

I’ve realized how important and healing it is to unplug for a couple of hours to be solely aware and present amongst my guests and the nourishing food and conversation that fuels my mind, body and spirit. A big luscious life comes from small, daily actions that all begin with a drop of thought. We are here to delight in our potential…we just have to get out of our own way sometimes.
