If you’ve ever been told that you’re overly sensitive, that you cry too much, or overreact, you’re not alone. Still, when we hear something often enough, we eventually consider the possibility that it might be true. Intuitive Life Coach, Josefa Lan, sat down with 18 women last week to share her own story of growing up in a religious cult and never feeling like she fit in. She led us through her own self-discovery quest, overcoming bulimia and perfectionism. Guests were encouraged to honor their feelings, connect with their wisdom, manage their energy, and embrace their sensitivities as being highly perceptive. Which is to say you’ve got to dissolve guilt and rock your own rhythm.
Dinner was set inside a rustic, metallic barn at Pomelo’s, in the back of a grassy courtyard with white tea lights strung up above. The guests were welcomed with a glass of wine or champagne and fresh focaccia bread and olive oil. We partnered up with Black Tie Market, a local and conscious company that produces natural bath and body products for men and women. Each guest walked away with gifts of eucalyptus bathing salts and sugar scrubs to enjoy at home.
Rachelle Owens, our Photographer from Old Soul Imagery captured the intimate dining experience.
Special thanks to our guest speaker, Josefa Lan for being so attentive, open and gracious with her time. And to our guests, we celebrate your vulnerability and applaud you for trying out new things. It’s always an honor hosting you.
